Our donkeys have
participated in a number of events including local parades, Christmas pageants,
FFA Barnyard Day for the elementary schools and a couple of shows.
Phil's
Pharm Hiram was selected 1997 ACOSA Reserve Champion Halter Jack at the ADMS
National Show in Pueblo, CO. This was his first show.
Annie's
Acres Adah was named Grand Champion Halter Donkey (all sizes, either sex) at the
2002 Colorado State Fair. Quite an honor for a miniature in her first showing.
Deborah
& Zechariah were shown in the matched pairs class, competing against a
number of mules. They were the crowd favorites!
Here's
Hiram at our Hotchiss, CO Fourth of July Parade, immediately in front of the
fire trucks!
Hiram's
ready to go again at the Paonia, CO Cherry Days parade.
Fanny
May joined Hiram at the Crawford, CO Pioneer Days parade. Many thanks are due my
friend, Chris, and son Jim for all the help they have provided over the years
with these guys.
Here's
another photo of Hiram waiting his turn at the Crawford parade.
Living
Nativity scenes have been one of our favorite events. Our girls are thoroughly
enjoyed by the spectators.
